Goliath the Philistine stood & shouted across, “taunting” the Israelites in 1 Samuel 17:8. Another words, he insulted, heckled, mocked, ridiculed, tormented, and even took a jab at them. And, as soon as the Israelites saw Goliath, they ran away afraid. 1 Sam.17:24
Has your “Goliath” been taunting you lately? Are you tempted to run away afraid?
I take such courage when I read about David, the young shepherd boy, willing to fight the Giant Goliath, in the Name of The Lord. King Saul even discouraged David from fighting Goliath. He said, “don’t be ridiculous! There is NO way you can win. You are only a boy, and Goliath has been a man of war since his youth.” 1 Sam. 17:33
Listen what David told King Saul.. “The Lord who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine Goliath.” 1 Sam. 17:37
Be encouraged, though your Giant taunts you, Go out in the Name of the Lord and face your giants! You are More than a conqueror! Take up your sword & shield & stop all that taunting going on in your life in Jesus Name! Amen!
